Bordeaux 1er Cru Classé – A journey through the 1990s
The highlight of the evening is Bordeaux’s Left Bank, with wines from Château Haut-Brion, Château Mouton Rothschild and Château Latour – three of the five producers that today hold Premier Cru Classé status, the highest level of the 1855 Bordeaux Classification.
All the Bordeaux wines are from the 1990s and have been ageing in bottle for around 30 years. This gives us the opportunity to taste the wines at a fascinating stage in their development and explore how extended bottle ageing shapes some of Bordeaux’s most renowned wines.
The evening concludes with a Sauternes from Château de Rayne Vigneau.
