Our wine cellar

At The Winery Hotel, we place great importance on the craft of winemaking. In addition to our own urban winery and sommelier-led wine tastings held several times a week, we also boast an extensive wine cellar. Our wine list features over 1,300 carefully selected references, curated by our Head Sommelier John Sterner who represents Sweden in the Nordic Sommelier Championship 2025. Most of the collection is stored in our glass-enclosed wine rooms on the first floor, just outside the restaurant Terreno Kitchen, bringing you closer to the wine quite literally.

Our wine cellar list is extensive, yet well balanced. Classic wine regions are strongly represented, while we also take a deeper dive into Chianti Classico for reds and Austria for whites. All wines are available to order in Winemakers Bar in the lobby and in the restaurant Terreno Kitchen.

Recently, Terreno Kitchen and our wine cellar list were honoured with "Best of Award of Excellence" in 2025 Wine Spectator’s Restaurant Awards, an award recognising the best wine restaurants in the world. Among the criteria are a broad representation of wine regions and top producers, a service team with extensive knowledge of food and wine pairings and a genuine passion for wine and the craft that surrounds it. Our list also received silver in two categories at the Star Wine List of the Year Sweden 2025 - Special Jury Prize and Best Austrian Wine List.
